On 10 March, the commanding officer of the MICA Center went to Portsmouth and met with the Maritime Trade Information Centre (MTIC) teams.
This centre includes the twin cell of the MDAT-GoG team in Brest and the British core of the UKMTO, which has a branch in Dubai.
The MTIC, like the MICA Center, contributes to a better maritime domain awareness and, in connection with the operational staffs, works 24/7 in the interest of the maritime industry and for the safety of seafarers.
This visit was an opportunity for the two MDAT-GoG teams to physically maintain the link that unites them virtually on a daily basis and to exchange views on the perspectives of MDAT-GoG.
This synergy between the Royal Navy and the French Navy contributes to the reinforcement of maritime security in support of regional organisations and in particular the Yaoundé architecture.
