On August 3, the Information Fusion Center (www.ifc.org.sg) and the Singapore Shipping Association (www.ssa.org.sg) hosted the 41st Shared Awareness Meeting. More than 170 participants from military and law enforcement organizations, the maritime community and regional fusion centers attended this hybrid mode event. The conference provides an overview of the security and safety situation in the IFC area of interest and other regions, maritime insurance and maritime industry best practices.
On this occasion, the MDAT GoG described the evolving situation in the Gulf of Guinea in recent months. It was also an opportunity to present the warning system in the Gulf of Guinea and to encourage ship owners and their vessels to remain vigilant in the region despite the decrease in piracy activities.
