”To Contribute to Maritime Security and Freedom of Navigation by supporting the shipping industry whilst we support the naval operations” is the core of Naval Cooperation And Guidance for Shipping (NCAGS) procedures.
It is also what the NATO Shipping Centre (NSC) and the MICA Center have in common in many aspects.
Tuesday, February 28th we were pleased and honoured to welcome in Brest the Director of the NATO Shipping Centre and his deputy for exercise planning. This was a great opportunity for us to review MICA Center’s journey towards a renewed momentum for the French NCAGS Cell.
We were also able to share on current operational situations and objectives to improve our common efforts for the benefit of seafarer’s security as well as being an asset to our Operational commanders.
Thrilled to be given a lecture on NSC’s work and preoccupations by their distinguished representatives and looking forward to future exchanges and collaborations.
