On June 15th and 16th Mr. Eric Dibas-Franck, Permanent Secretary of the Interdepartmental Committee for State Action at Sea and in Continental Waters (SEPIC AEMEC) of Congo, came to Brest as part of his duties for State Action at Sea. The MICA Center Teams were honoured to receive him on June 15th after his visit to the AEM services of CECLANT. Following his visit, he also had the opportunity to visit @CedreBrest, #CROSSCorsen and @Ifremer_fr.
This visit was the opportunity for us to demonstrate the close ties between the MICA Center and the Gulf of Guinea states though the support of the MDAT GoG (French and UK flags) to the Yaoundé Architecture, notably reviewing the two piracy incidents that took place between March and April!
Whether it’s against piracy, maritime crime, illegal fishing or irregular migration, every cooperative effort is a further step towards maritime safety in favour of the Sailors in Gulf of Guinea.
